Consultants stay in touch while on the road thanks to Versature's Hosted PBX

We switched to Versature to gain more flexibility in our phone system, but it was the unanticipated extras we got that have really impressed us. We now don’t know how we lived without the voicemail to e-mail feature, and the technical and customer support we’ve received has been top notch. Even though we’re a small organization, we feel like Versature really values us as a client. We never felt that way with our previous provider.

Company: Orbis Partners Inc. of Ottawa, Ontario provides consulting to criminal justice and social service organizations and agencies across North America and Europe.

Goal: Orbis wanted to expand its phone system to accommodate more than eight employees and wished to use an auto-attendant to route client calls to the right contact within the organization.

Situation: Before choosing the Versature Hosted PBX service, Orbis Partners used a Toshiba phone system and a standard Bell phone line. “With the Toshiba system, we were limited to eight phones and we didn’t have an auto-attendant,” remembers Stringer. When Orbis learned that its existing system would not be able to handle its new requirements, Orbis began evaluating other alternatives.

Solution & Results: In researching voice-over Internet protocol (VOIP) solutions, Orbis discovered Versature. Orbis liked that Versature offered technical support through its sister company, TechSupport.ca, and was impressed by  the scalability and flexibility of its hosted VOIP phone service.

Orbis selected Versature and has since discovered that Versature’s voicemail-to-email feature is extremely useful. Our employees are often on the road and they can now stay in touch with clients while at airports or in hotel rooms through by picking up their messages online or having conversations through laptop softphones” Stringer explains. Orbis is also saving on long distance charges and now has a professional automated attendant to route client calls.
